Finance Minister To Grace Opening of 14th Annual General Meeting Of Procurement and Supply Professional in Arusha City

FINANCE and Planning Minister, Dr Mwigulu Nchemba will today, (December 12, 2023) grace opening of the 14th edition of the Procurement and Supply Professionals Annual General Conference.
At least 2000 professionals in procurement and supply sector are convening for four consecutive days under the roof of the Arusha-based International Conference Center (AICC) to share knowledge, skills and other vital experience pertaining to professional practice and related issues in the key profession.
The annually- staged event which has been coordinated by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB) attracts procurement and supply practitioners, tender board members, accounting officers, auditors, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, pharmacists, academicians, consultants, researchers, policy makers, business community, entrepreneurs, suppliers, contractors, Non-government organizations (NGOs), as well as any other stakeholders.
Briefing over the gathering, Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Unit at PSPTB, Shamim Mdee expressed that the timely event has fetched lucrative sponsorship from different companies.
"We're very delighted as we have so far managed to finalise with all of the basic preparations, and we are highly expecting that the forum will run professionally in order to meet the expected outcomes, " Mdee briefed this publication during the final preparations of the today's event.
And she added, apart from the local professionals and stakeholders, the gathering will also involve participants from outside the country.
Yesterday, the participants of the meeting thronged at AICC venue to collect some of the conference's necessary kits in order to stand a better side to take part effectively in the crucial meeting.
Mdee unveiled names of the companies that bankroll the conference as Zanzibar Insurance Cooperation (ZIC), Dynatech Solutions, Shades of Green Safaris, the Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL), Bravado Solutions, Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF), Bisech Tour Company, Nekira Company Ltd, Haier Tanzania, e- Government (e-GA), Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN), Soft Tech Consultant and UTT AMIS.
There are also, Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA),National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania (NIC), Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), UCSAF, Fair Competition Commission (FCC), , National Social Security Fund (NSSF), ational Housing Corporation ( NHC) as well as Workers Compansation Fund ( WCF).

She detailed, as part to support President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan's initiative on tourism, this year's event will incorporate a special tour of diverse tourism attractions found in Manyara Region.
